Accessibility and Limitations on Use: Open to students and faculty in Visual Arts and Design.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; Saturday, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Services Available: Project consulting; machine and tool operational and safety training.

Appointment Required: Classes using the Common Shop must be scheduled in advance. 

Training Required: Yes. Training must be completed through class or studio or by individual appointment.

            -radial arm saw

            -wood lathe

            -combination disc/belt sanders (2)

            -large edge sander

            -standalone disc sander

            -drill presses (4)

            -band saws (6)

            -10” table saws (2)

            -edge jointers (2)

            -surface planers (2)

            -vertical panel saw (1)

            -various hand tools

            -16 gauge pneumatic shear

            -sandblasting cabinet

            -Morse #3 taper drill presses (2)

            -double grinder wheels (2)

            -Do All band saw

            -machine lathe

            -oxygen/acetylene welding torch

            -mig welder

            -plasma cutter

            -spot welder

Available Equipment—Visual Art Studio Technologies Lab:

            -laser cutter

            -3D scanner

            -Makerbot Replicator 3D printer

            -Thermoplastic vacuum former

Other Available Facilities/Resources:

            -spray booth room

            -various woods, metals and other materials available for purchase
